Situated adjacent to a tranquil park in a heavily wooded suburb north of Philadelphia, a 1960's architect designed home lacked the space needed for the client's family. Adding to the strong geometry and symmetry of the original form, a new three-story bedroom wing with stair and a cedar clad dining and family room addition were conceived. The new expansive fenestration washes the interiors with filtered light and provides ample views to the park and woods surrounding the home. A new terrace outside the dining room at grade and a third floor roof deck create additional entertaining spaces.
